Virtuoso saxophonist Joshua Redman is joined by celebrated pianist Brad Mehldau in a concert that combines two unmistakable voices into one equally distinctive and powerful whole.

Redman and Mehldau are both truly unique improvisers, and the intensity of their seemingly telekinetic connection will keep you transfixed. Hailed by the Boston Herald as “a jazz wunderkind,” saxophonist Joshua Redman is one of today’s most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artists. Brad Mehldau has garnered numerous awards and admiration from jazz purists and music enthusiasts alike, forging a unique path and embodying the essence of jazz exploration, classical romanticism and pop allure.

This will be the duos first Sydney visit since their awe-inspiring set as part of the 2012 Sydney Festival, described by the Sydney Morning Herald as “… playing of the highest order”.

Reuniting for an intimate performance, the duo format fosters a new convergence for these friends where they can openly create music that swings and deeply connects to the spirit.
