Jazz @ The Pav is a month-long celebration of Jazz music at the Bondi Pavilion Theatre. Featuring a star studded line-up of Sydney’s finest musicians, you are invited to sit back, have a drink and enjoy the music at one of Sydney’s finest locations. Tonight is a special concert to celebrate International Women’s Day featuring the 17-piece super collective, Sirens Big Band with special guest Sandy Evans (OAM). Formed as a direct response to the underrepresentation of women in the jazz music community, the band brings together some of Australia’s strongest and most innovative young female jazz musicians and improvisers. With past performances at Brisbane Festival, Manly Jazz Festival and opening the Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival, Sirens have built a reputation as a progressive and commanding big band that you won’t want to miss.
