There can be no doubt that Kristin Berardi has earned her place at the top of the ladder when it comes to art of Jazz. Her flawless vocal technique and ability to navigate the heady, treacherous waters of contemporary music is second to none, reflected by her string of awards nationally and internationally in her formative years. Thankfully, however, this lady knows how to sing a song! She reaches her audience on an emotional level while transcending these complexities and making ‘sweet music’. Her band are equal to the sensitive task of taking rich her compositions and making them effortlessly accessible. This may possibly be the pinnacle of any modern jazz artists aim and the achievement is crowned here by the ensembles second studio release. One that has been a long time coming and is truly worth the wait.
