Peter Dasent (piano) and Tanya Sparke (vocals), with guest musicians and singers.

A special evening from two long-time friends who work in entirely different musical worlds yet create a special magic when they perform together.

Peter Dasent is well known to Foundry audiences – as a solo piano player; with his own group The Umbrellas; with Tony Backhouse in their absurdist funk project Blessed Relief, and with the popular Greasy Chicken Orchestra (currently on a brief sabbatical after a two year monthly residency at Foundry).

Tanya Sparke is a singer, songwriter and composer whose work has been recognised internationally (in Jane Campion’s seminal film “Sweetie”), nationally (in Sandy Evans’ Charlie Parker tribute “Testimony”) and locally in the numerous choirs and vocal ensembles she directs.

Together they will be performing Tanya’s beautiful original songs. Peter will also be playing selections from his acclaimed album “Songs For Solo Piano”, recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
