Magical Jazz Journeys

Sponsored by Air BNB we launched our “Experiences” concerts at the Newsagency last year and and we’d love for you to join us for our next appearance on the 17th of February. The evening includes a free glass of champagne plus a wonderful immersive photographic exhibition by the incredible Australian photographer Noni Carroll.

Come and share the journey of music-making through the spontaneous and original creations we invent especially for our listeners. Loretta plays the mysterious and beautiful soprano saxophone in a completely beguiling way that reflects her wide experience in classical, jazz, and folkloric music. Her melodies charm, challenge, and go straight to the heart as she soars and flutters, sings and soothes. Brilliant genius Mark writes symphonies, performs as a classical pianist and conducts, and his virtuosic and lyrical piano is often like an orchestra which Loretta soars over or accompanies.

Some Of Two Parts received acclamations when they featured at the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival. Every performance is a world premiere and will explore an exceptionally wide journey into a full range of emotions and musical dynamics. At times you may also hear musical portraits of the diverse Australian landscape conjured in our extemporisations – sea, sky, birdlife, the city, and the Australian bush are all potential influences.
